Hi Doyle - Two suggestions: 1) black electrical tape (the good stuff, e.g. 3M
33+) will last many years. and 2) Rust-Oleum light gray automotive primer,
#2081.  Force-12 uses the tape on exposed Fiberglas on their antennas.  CAL-AV
uses either the tape or the primer, depending on the part.
