According to our on-the-air tribander comparison report, there are a
couple of antennas that are in that high-performance category. The report is
over 80 pages of protocol, data sets and summaries. It's the ONLY on-the-air
tribander research ever undertaken that includes 11 different antennas.

Boy, you want it all. The only antennas I know of that'll do it are the
X-9/7 and the TH11. Both are included in the report.
You have to decide how important some things are and what trade-offs
you're willing to take (i.e. more bands might mean less gain on some bands,
etc.). Don't forget that as soon as you start adding more bands or changing
the antenna parameters, you start making even more design compromises.

The CC 402CD is THE antenna for 2 elements IMO.
A big tribander AND 2-3 elements on 40 on the same tower is a load that
needs proper engineering. Why not go for a 2-40/2-30 like a Force 12 and a
little 12 and 17M antenna? About the same amount of loading as your 3L
scenario but it gives you all the WARC bands with gain. I'd do it in a New
York minute and NO compromises!
