You may be interested to print out your own topographic map, using USGS
data, centering the map on your house, in four different scales. See
www.topozone.com.  Did I mention FREE?

Commercial alternatives are blisterpacked software from DeLorme Map
(www.delorme.com) and National Geographic (www.topo.com), both excellent.
 The DeLorme product allows you to print path profiles showing the hills
between your place and a repeater or Packetcluster (tm) node.

Good documentation for an antenna support structure permit application.
