Hi Pete, one thing you have to remember is that most stations with stacks use
them in contests and very seldom do you here them in casual dx. The exceptions
are Michael EA3OT and Ivor and as you well know or at least over here when they
are operating their signals stand out well above anything else on the band,
just like a few Europeans that had three element beams at 200 feet for 80m.
There is no replacement for cubic aluminum at altitude.
