Happy Holidays Guys,

I am planning to put up a dipole for 160M for local communication (height is
not an issue).

Because of my situation, I'm using special wire clamps attached to each end
of the center insulator at the feed point. The beginnings of horizontal
legs may be separated by as much as 20 inches.

Is a 20" center separation too great?

I have never seen what the ideal separation is and just assumed that most
"dog bone" insulators had the proper distance of about 1-2".
