[TowerTalk] Tower as Flag Pole

Hello to all,
We recently had a thread on flag poles as antennas.
I would like to turn that about a bit. I was recently contemplating buying
a 30 or so foot flag pole. I very quickly suffered a severe case of sticker
shock. It then dawned on me that I already had a 50 foot tower in my front
yard. (The location of the tower is a story unto itself). I am considering
attaching a side arm on the tower and flying a flag from that. Does any one
have any experience do anything like this?.
Thanks,
Ken W7TS

beware the "kit" of information sold by First Call...it is a poor collection
of photocopies from old Ham magazines...your best bet as far as rejuvenating
a prop pitch is to find a local who has been there and done that - perhaps
you will find one on towertalk.
