a while back i purchased a used hdr-300 rotor . after putting it in
service turning a large (70ft boom m2 ) 6 meter beam i noticed that when
the least significant digit on the display was 0 or 1, the receiver noise
level increased significantly, from quiet, s nothing to s3 or 4 on the
meter. if you move the antenna so the least significant is anything but
0 or 1 the thing is dead quiet.. have tried ferrite beads on the rotor
cable as well as the leads from the board to the jones plug ect, the ac
power cord. have done some bypassing on the display board and nothing
seems to change or reduce the noise level. i realize its just a petty
annoyance, but i wonder if they all do this and if anyone has a fix
