There is nothing cheap and SELF-SUPPORTING 199' (oxymoron). Reality
check:
Guyed 25 probably is the CHEAPEST solution, not overkill.
A Trylon self-supporting tower will go to 96' with not much capacity
up top for $2300 or so JUST FOR THE TOWER shipped, not including the
concrete boulder that goes in the ground underneath. $4K or so
finished. All paid labor costs extra. The cost of ANY self-supporting
arrangement goes up EXPONENTIALLY after that. I suspect you cannot
touch a 200' cellular monopole for 10K installed. 50K+ would sound
more like it. Have you seen the 5-truck concrete base monstrosity that
goes underneath a 200' monopole? With rebar, labor, excavation and
such, I imagine the base approaches or exceeds 10K all by itself.
Are you independently wealthy?
