If you can find either "Redwing" or "Leckie" boots for sale
ask for Power Lineman boots. They not only have a full plate
for sole protection but also two extra leathers in the sole.
Most come with out a tread on them, because most Linemen add
a car tire tread to them. You end up with a sole of about 3
inches thick, but you can stand up a pole/tower for 5 to 6
hours with a minimum of discomfort.

You could also check out any mine safety outlet in your area
for the boots.

Good luck.
