At the price of EHS you're better off using 3 coils (one at each anchor) and
snipping it off AFTER you've pulled it up to final tension (remember; you
can't cut it longer if you cut it too short the first time).  As was stated
earlier the wild ends make really good turn buckle locks.

Another lineman trick for managing the coils of EHS.  Get some tire chains
and place the coil inside it (chain hooked together like it would be if
there was a tire inside).  Clip the restraining bands on the coil.  The
chain will hold the coil together and then you can pull the strand out
through the center without it getting away from you.  Saves the inevitable
rats nest if you do it any other way short of laying it all out on the
ground.
