Try wrapping the elements with that curly wire wrap stuff they use to create
wire bundles behind the entertainment center (you all do dress those rats
nests up don't you?).  Put them next to the boom at first and if necessary
slide them out until the song goes away.  It doesn't take much to de-tune
the element.  We do something similar in the utility industry to stop
aeolian vibration which will quite quickly destroy a conductor at light wind
speeds.

It's cheap and may just help......I used it on a neighbors CB antenna and it
worked.
