Point of clarification - POP is a trademark of Emhart, a manufacturer of all sorts of fasteners. It is a name for their line of blind rivets and does not imply whether or not the rivet is open ended, closed ended, or whether or not the core of the mandrel is left inside the the joint. Emhart supplies all of these types under the name "POP" and manufactures them in all sorts of rivet and mandrel materials.

I think the proper generic term for the "see thru" rivets is "tubular" and this is typical of the blind rivets one finds in the local Ace or Home Depot. These provide significantly less fastening capability. I don't believe that Emhart makes any of this type.

Look at their web site for all you want to know about their products.

I have no affiliation with this company, but am a happy user of their products
