Actually, I think that is only true if you happen to be on the longitude
that is the baseline for your time zone,and could be off by as much as a
half hour at the edges of a time zone.  Here in Washington DC, for example,
solar noon is 4 minutes and 30 seconds after clock noon today.  Probably
close enough for HF, though ;^)))
