[TowerTalk] Cushcraft ATB-34 vs Hy-Gain TH3JR

I finally got around to putting up a 21 year old Cushcraft ATB-34 yagi (new
in the box) at 36 feet replacing a Hy-Gain TH3JR (also 20 plus years old) at
the same height. It was packed wrong at Cushcraft 20 years ago, finally got
the right size aluminum from Texas Towers.

My problem:

The 3 element TH3JR hears and cracks the pileups better than the larger 4
element Cushcraft.

I've already heard that the Cushcraft needs to go to the aluminum recycler,
but is It really that bad.....

Suggestions?
