The HDR300motor voltage is 24 V ac and you can make your own control box, or
modify something like a Tailtwister type box to work with it. The original
control box was digital and you can reproduce the digital readout using a
Radio Shack digital panel meter module
( catalog item), or just rewire a standard control box so that the meter
works with the special pot in the HDR300.
It's a fine rotor head, and can withstand a lot of punishment, especially if
it has been upgraded to the stainless steel output shaft, and newer heavy
duty clamp assembly. ( this was available as a kit b4 the buyout).
Wonder if the HDR will be continued? The Hygain /MFJ ad in the latest QST
lists the bell housing models for sale, but no mention of the HDR.

the control box is long gone...
>Does anybody know the voltage of the motor used in this rotor? It is an AC
motor. The rotor is very simple - standard pot for azimuth sense, and squat
switches for azimuth limits, etc., I just need to know the motor voltage...
