wannabe "Big Gun!" HI....currently using 5-element yagi, so, in your
experience, would I be better off stacking two 5-el yagis or going with a
single, much larger beam? Height, power and receiver all remain constant!

Use stacked 5 element beams and a switching arrangement where you can select
the top at say 100' and the bottom at about 25-35'. On the bottom beam on
the front end have a 3 element vertically polarized yagi that's phasible with
the horizontal beam on the same boom. You can get 6 polarization's of which
2 are turnstile CW & CCW. I'd have a 2 element quad or a 2 element Raibeam
at say 15'. Always ahve a low beam. The idea is not max gain but being able
to get the maximum number of angles of radiation to meet the many different
conditions on 6M--somewhat of a new concept. I've done this and it works. I
have a switch that gives 6 different polarization's with the vertical
horizontal beam or 2 at 45 L&R degrees. K7GCO
