[TowerTalk] Grade A/B contours

Hope this is on topic, or close enough...

Is there an on-line calculator that would tell someone if they fit within 
the Grade A or B signal strength contours for a TV broadcast station?   I 
know there are some commercial software packages that do these calculations 
and maps but they're out of my price range.

What about the maps showing local ground conductivity - I think they have 
to have them also - how detailed are they?.

Otherwise would I just call up each station and ask?  Are either type of 
contour maps filed with the FCC?
