[TowerTalk] CN8WoW's 160m antenna

I don't have a 160 meter antenna, and neither my amp nor my transceiver's
tuner work on 160, so I'm a stranger to that band. However, during the
just completed CQWW CW, I ducked down to 160 Saturday evening for about 5
minutes to try to collect 2 zones and 2 countries, running 5 mismatched
watts to my 80-meter array.

I hit a time when there was a fair bit of activity, and I could actually
hear a station or two in the Caribbean, so imagine my surprise when CN8WW
appeared, louder than any other DX station.

I assume their antenna was a wire 4-square, but what a signal! I've never
heard Europe on 160, and here they were rolling in from Morocco without
benefit of grey line or any other enhancements.

Maybe some of the CN8WW gang read this reflector and could enlighten us on
how they got it to work so well...
