Waste of hardware!
Experimentally I have found that maximum performance from the antenna with
Quad elements can be obtain when using one parasitic element before and after
the driven element or log cell. Beyond that, Yagi elements (dipoles)
contribute more than quad elements in the same positions. Quad element has a
low Q and does not couple well further out.
Have look at pictures of my Razor Beams,
which were stacked 7 el on a 60 ft booms, 4 Quad and 3 Yagi element
configuration <A HREF="http://members.aol.com/ve3bmv/index.htm">VE3BMV Home
</A>
Remember also that gain is more proportional to the boomlength rather than
number of elements in properly designed antenna.
