Dear Henrik, here is a picture of a mast raising winch. It bolts to the
tower by the two red painted bolts near the pulley, and the wire rope
threads down through the top plate and bearing plate through a slot or hole
drilled in them. Sometimes you have to make a slot in the rotor plate, or
enlarge the notch off the center hole, in order to pass the wire rope and
it's attachment bolt. Standard setups is to drill and tap the mast for a
1/2" bolt, just above the rotor clamp, and run a bolt through the thimble on
the wire rope.
