I am in the middle of assembling the XM240, it is indeed a grade over the
olde Cushcraft antennas..there was no problem with the piece count on the
hardware (they did substitute split locks for flat washers in one instance
but that is a minor thing) - thus far all the holes have lined up well,
etc...my only fear was the balun - not because it was their but just because
it was a balun and in my opinion the weak link in the rf feed structure so
have gone with a tradition would coax balun which can't "break"...
The tolerances, etc on the XM were well maintained...I used to view
Cushcraft antennas as merely sources of aluminum this is a grade up...as far
as performance - get back to me after contest season is over :-)
