[TowerTalk] Thrust bearing to mast alignment problem.

Hello,

I recently ordered a tower and so-called thrust bearing from Universal
manufacturing. The bearing looks more like what you would find on a
piece of farm equipment. It is a JIB UC211-35 heavy duty flange
bearing. My problem is that the bearing only has two set screws 90
degrees apart and there is quite a bit of difference between my two inch
mast and the bearing. How do I align this thing so that the mast is
centered without binding? I could use some sort of shims but that seems
like a royal pain in the butt. Perhaps this problems is not worth
worrying about. Any ideas?

I am tempted to dump this turkey and buy a Rohn TB3. Does anyone no if
the Rohn TB3 will bolt on to a square flange with holes drilled on about
5.25" centers?

I appreciate the help you guys have been giving me during the course of
this project.

Thank You,

Dave Rich kg0us@swbell.net
