[TowerTalk] outdoor enclosure

I need to integrate in an outdoor enclosure the 
followings elements: a radio modem, an UPS and a 
Programmable Logic Controller.
My questions are the followings:
1) Is right to put the UPS and a radio modem in the 
same enclosure??
2) What is the best material to build the 
enclosure?? What about the temperature inside the 
enclosure?? (the enclosure will be installed in a 
desertic weather)
2) Is necessary or unnecesary to considerate an 
outdoor enclosure plus an inside box with a air gap 
between them??
