[TowerTalk] Painting Fiberglass Spreaders?

I had second hand Gem Quad spreaders, after few more years nasty thing 
happened, the fiberglass rods started to separate from the criss-cross 
wrapping and eventually buckled in the storm. 
I would recommend to paint it with good marine paint as suggested before and 
check them thoroughly for any signs of separation.
