And if you are the typical climber with just a positioning lanyard, 
imagine having your feet pass through the tower as you fall backwards -- 
what do you do after you break your legs and are stuck semi-inverted 50 
feet up the tower?

Sheesh!

Go down to WalMart. Spend $25 on a pair of work shoes with steel shanks. 
Wear them when climbing the tower.

See? Comfort AND Safety.
