Tom,

I remember one of Bill Orr's columns in CQ in which he reported that he'd
found a bunch of WWII-vintage RG-8 in his garage attic. He sent it to a
friend who could evaluate it in his lab and was told it was about as good as
new. Coax apparently lasts for years if it's kept out of sunlight and away
from moisture.

You might try running some power through yours and measuring what goes in
and what goes out. I'll bet it's just fine.
