[TowerTalk] Yuri's antennas

I visited Yuri once when I was visiting Toronto... He demonstrated the 15
Razor he had up at the time. He also had a TH6 up at a comparable height...
I think it was actually a little higher. Conditions wern't particularly good
that day... tuning the band with the TH6 (a very good antenna... I use a
similar TH7) the band was virtually dead pointing at Europe... a few very
scattered signals from Europeans using big antennas I suppose... Over most
of the band the S meter was motionless. When we switched to the Razor, the
band literally came alive.... the band was crowded with signals, most S1-S3,
but  solid copy... most of whom were inaudable on the tri-bander. The
signals that were audable on the Thribander were now strong signals. It was
as if the dead band had suddenly opened up. Not very "scientific" I
suppose... but I was certainly impressed!!!
