[TowerTalk] tower leg pipe or tubing

The US Tower web site states that pipe is used for the legs whereas First
Call's websites states that tubing is used for the legs in Triex tower legs.

My memory fuzzily recalls reading that their is a difference in strength
between pipe and tubing.  Do Towertalkers
know if these website statements are correct and are they significant?
