[TowerTalk] Ginpole for 20 foot sections

Hi all, 

The gin pole feels a downward force equal to twice the attached load.
Thus the person pulling the rope has a 2:1 advantage in terms of his 
or her ability to push the tower down into the ground. His ability to lift the 
attached load however is 1:1.
