OOPS is my face red.

7075 alloy is not recommended for welding by fusion methods. Resistance
welding spot and seam of may be readily accomplished with clad material
in T6 condition. Resistance welding of the bare material is not
recommended due to the severe loss in corrosion resistance. Brazing and
soldering are not recommended.

6061 alloy is weldable by any process normally used to weld aluminum
alloys. Brazing and soldiering are feasible but trial runs are
recommended. No loss of corrosion resistance due to welding process.
