[TowerTalk] Ferrite rod

I had a balun at the feed point of my Windom antenna burst into flames
and as a result the ferrite rod broke in half.  Is it possible to epoxy
the two sections together?  I checked the Amidon page and they don't
have the 5 1/2 inch rod.  Do you buy the 7 1/2 and cut it?
