My 80m vertical is a 60-foot self-supporting aluminum tower [Universal]
that is insulated from the base using solid, fiberglass rods that are
drilled to match the mounting holes.  I use Dacron guys at the 24' and
48' levels due to high winds in this area [Indiana].
