Well, I have searched in vain for a source of the old style 72-75 ohm brown
twin lead with no success. My current project needs a 1/4wave 75 ohm
balance feedline transformer, but I don't seem to be able to find one.
 Anyone got any ideas?

I've got some in storage. Give this a try as it works with coax balanced or
unbalanced and I've done it with 2 different balanced open lines. Parallel
4-300 ohm ribbons and you should get close to 75 ohms Zo.

Also try the Monstor audio speaker cable. That may be close to 70 ohms.
I've always wanted to check that out for Zo but haven't had a chance as yet.
