[TowerTalk] Improving the gain on a Cushcraft A505S 6-Meter Yagi

I would like to improve the gain on a A505S Crushcraft 6-meter yagi.  I would 
like to keep the 12' boom and change the element spacing if it will improve 
the forward gain.
Would eliminating one 1 element and widening the spacing on the other 4 be a 
help?
Please share spacing distances and projected gain figures if you have them.
