The prep: A year of playing with terrain analyzer and ARRL Antenna Book
propagation to optimize antenna heights. (My conclusion: short of humongous
monoband stacks, everything is a compromise. Put up what ever you can!).

The plan: A 100' Rohn 55G tower with 40-2CD at 105' (with strength mods),
C31XR's at 90' and 55' on ring rotors with stack match.

The permit: Dropped off application at planning department friday... and
discovered the zoning regulations had been changed since I bought my
property... and the tower would probably not be allowed (unless, perhaps, it
was disguised as a tree....). Went home (fuming) and began to put together
my PRB-1 case. Today (Wednesday) called on a lark just to see if anything
had happened, and was told that zoning had approved it, and it is at the
building department for the inspector to review!!!! Yippee.

Goal is to get foundations / anchors put in before it's too cold to pour...

Comments, encouragement, criticism welcome. :-)
