The consensus seems to be dacron.  I was going to build my own
vertical, but went for the MFJ-1793 (I couldn't find a 1792 anywhere)
to get some capability on 80 meters, as well.  MFJ says to guy it, so I
will follow the LXC Prime Directive and do so (MFJ doesn't say what to
guy it with, hence the question).  I guess it's time to visit one of
the local marine supply stores.  Thanks for all the replies.
