Just a note .. lots of folks understand that the price charged to hams is
DIFFERENT then to the military. Well.. guess what.
If YOU .. as a supplier .. to the world at large .. offer your wares at a
different price than you do to the, specifically, the US Government ..
ooops... you can be sued for that Amateur Radio operators have noted for
.. like, YEARS .,.. that Rockwell Collins charges Way High prices for
repair, parts, consultation .. .. .. reason? IF THEY CHARGE YOU LESS THAN
THEY CHARGE THE US GOVERNMENT...big prob! Because..the same rig, same
prob.. you "get it" ..
If you owned a company that would pay $455 for a hammer, and sold 72 of them
a month to the Army .. would you sell one to a ham for (real price) $4.88
???? Knowing it would cost you big time! And the person who sent the info
that it is so difficult to meet the fed requirements is so correct... ..
that is why a toilet seat is so "precious" ...
