[Towertalk] Ground Rods

I think I have a problem with this proposal, but I'm no 
expert so don't flame me to bad.  How is the solid 
copper wire going to be joined to the tower bolts?  The 
only secure and low resistance method would be to 
Cadweld it.  Also, the solid wire will extend out of the 
concrete block to the ground rod(s).  Wouldn't that 
allow a path for water to infiltrate into the concrete 
and then possibly start to rust away the bolts from the 
inside?  Isn't concrete conductive?  Unless one is 
constructing a Ufer (?) grounding system where the rebar 
is welded together including the tower base stubs, does 
one need to tie the base stubs to the tower ground.  
Personally, I didn't do that and ran a solid wire from 
the bottom of each leg, external to the concrete, to the 
ground rod(s).  Just thinking,  Phil  KB9CRY
