Fellow TowerTalkians -

    Here's a little LXC/TT philosophy.

Let's face it - just about everything discussed on TT has to do with
BUYING something; i.e. towers, guy wires, cables, rotators, tower and rotator
services, anchors, concrete, grounding hardware and yes - antennas. So I see
one of the values of TT is that comments from members can help YOU make an
educated purchasing decision. Wouldn't you rather spend your money on
something that solves a problem rather than wasting it?

Under the heading of "One man's junk is another man's treasure", most
things posted on TT for sale are generally snatched up in minutes. If you've
got some tower/antenna related stuff you want to get rid of, feel free to
post it on TT.

I also ENCOURAGE participation by manufacturers, dealers and other
knowledgeable folks who are in business supplying stuff to us. In the past
we've had significant folks from Rohn, Texas Towers, Hy-Gain, the Wireman,
Cushcraft, and others address TT questions.

As far as the validity of information on TT, I leave it up to you to
decide who posts credible answers and who's talking through their hat. I
encourage thoughtful posts on any tower and HF antenna construction topic and
since just about everyone acts like an adult, we explore lots of topics with
little or no flaming - just exchanges of information. It works for me.

Cheers & tnx to those who posted kind comments regarding the value of TT,
Steve K7LXC
8,152 posts on TT and still counting (make this #8153 - hi)

PS - TT is an internet reflector, not a website, so there wouldn't be any
pop-ups or banner ads anyway. The exception being the little paid ad at the
bottom of each post.
