[TowerTalk] 80 meter vertical suggestion

Ok Antennanites.
Limited space.
My best chance is putting a vertical on my non attached garage roof.
That would make the base about 18 feet off the ground.
I could mount it directly to the roof a the center, have some rope guys and
lay some unfortunately short radials on the garage roof.

I have the ON4UN book. What would be the best configuration for DX and
contesting. I'm mostly a cw type.

I'd like it to be a short as possible as the com ed power lines run through
the alley and would be awfully close.

I could put it on the house roof which would be a higher ridgeline but that
would put it right close to my tower/yagi.
