[Towertalk] Variable capacitor tuning

I have come across an old time vacuum variable,UXC 500-15. It is quite a 
monster,12-500pf rated at 15kv. I would like to use it for shunt feeding my 
tower but other than the threaded opening, there is no way to tune it. 
Anyone have any suggestions for mounting and tuning.
