[TowerTalk] Autek VA-1 claims

I've been contemplating a replacement for my Autek RF-1, which has
developed some internal problems and doesn't things I want anyway,
particularly displayiung R and X separately. I've tried the MFJ-259B and
really like it, but am also intrigued by the specs for the Autek VA-1. It
is a lot smaller and lighter, easier on batteries, and does (they say) two
things the MFJ does not:

1. indicates the sign of X, not just the magnitude.

2. can be adjusted to provide "SWR readout on over 10 common feedline
impedances from 25 to 450 ohms."

I'm particularly intrigued by the second claim. Do they mean that the SWR
reading is mathematically corrected to match the feedline being measured?
What does this mean for other functions, such as measuring loss in a line?
Anything?

Any other commentary on either unit that will help me decide?
