Looking the pictorials in the Phillystran page above raises a question with 
me.   In the diagrams shown for
"Hardware Recommended..." attaching the Phillystran Big Grip Dead Ends to 
either an anchor rod or a tower plate (1st and last pictures) it shows the 
use of two anchor shackles back-to-back to attach the grips to an anchor or 
tower plate.

Why are two shackles needed?   Is there some reason that the grip thimble 
could not be slipped over the shackle and then the shackle pin put in the 
tower plate or anchor rod?  Am I overlooking something obvious?
