[Towertalk] teflon

Tod,  I know someone who did this very same thing....had what he thought =
was teflon around the "stinger" where it goes through the top plate on =
the high tower.. used a motor driven coil at the base to tune 160....one =
night, running an amp on 160, the swr went wild.... looked outside and =
saw a neat little fire at the top of the hightower....seems that top =
plate is at a very high voltage point on 160 (between the plate and the =
stinger). Good luck on your project, hope it works better than the =
above.
