[Towertalk] TH-6 SWR question

Hello Team!
I'm sorta confused about an swr reading that I'm
getting. I just rebuilt my th-6 and propped it up at
ground level against my tower to take some preliminary
swr checks with my MFJ analyzer. All the element
dimensions are according to the suggested chart in the
portion of the band where I intend to work. New
balun/coax etc. I do realize that being at ground
level affects readings but this is the confusing part.
Readings on 10 & 15 are very good (at 1.5 to 1 or
less), but 20 stinko's! No better than 1.7 to 1. I
know that when it's in the air where it belongs, the
reading will change. So my questions are: is the 20
meter reading ok because it's at ground level
(expecting it to decrease when in the air) and are the
10 & 15 having problems because they are are also at
ground level? I would have expected all readings to
either be good or bad but not different. What says the
collective wisdom?
I am hoping to put this in the air tomorrow
(Saturday).
Thanks much!
