Actually, there are inexpensive gyro based antenna positioning
systems marketed to the recreational boat crowd for DirecTV
applications. I imagine that larger versions are in common use
on ships for their satellite systems, and could easily be used
on HF yagis, if yagis needed that kind of pointing accuracy.
