I installed one of the very first HyGain 7-3s at W6AQ.  They sell it as a
7-2 with an add-on kit.  I was always happy with the performance of the
3-element version.  Years later, I made a 2-element version out of the same
antenna after Dave gave it to me.

The 2-element version performed like you would expect.  In my experience it
was comparable to the Cush and the KLM.  It had a little gain and a decent
F/B.  Incremental and worthwhile improvement over your basic inverted vee,
vertical or dipole.

But get it high!
