Hi Peter I don't think it will have any significant effect on the pattern, but will reduce the efficiency by some amount. 'some' will depend on how many and how long the radials are in the bad directions. 240 degrees is a good part of the circle and I would be very surprised if you lost more than 1dB with a full size vertical. 73 cu on 160 Roger VE3ZI
