Reminds me of the good 'ol days.  Back in the late '50s, QST had at
least one article about underground antennas.  It probably was an
April Fool article - I don't really remember - but being young and
foolish, my friend across town and I tried it on six meters.  Signals
were weak but copyable.  

Just don't tell the neighbors.  :-)
