Those bemoaning the role of towers as bird hazards should look at the
September 2003 issue of National Geographic note titled, Fatal
Attraction, which includes a photo of 2000 birds that didn't make it
South for the winter. They flew into windows in downtown Toronto.

The neighborhood birds love to roost on my TH-11, and I have yet to find
a dead bird under the antenna, although I have found a few below my
large glass window in the front yard. Glass is a much greater hazard to
birds than towers and antennas, so until they ban glass, give the towers
a reprieve.
